Entering the building by the main cedar doors, the visitor will notice that the entry porch floor is paved with tessellated black and white marble. Within the porch are memorials to two of the ministers of the congregation – the founding minister the Rev. Matthew McGavin and Rev. Andrew Gillison, minister from 1905 to 1909 who died at Gallipoli during World War 1.

Ministers
Cameo's for the Ministers who have served at St Paul's can be found here.

There is also a plaque commemorating the centenary of the founding of the Congregation, erected by the Queensland Women’s Historical Association in 1963 and another to mark the celebration of thirty years continuous Remembrance Services conducted by the Rev. R. E. Pashen for the Brisbane Legacy Club.

The swing doors, affording entry to the Church itself carry unusual diamond-patterned opaque glass panels of a type not available these days.

Resurrection Windows
The two resurrection windows, the creation of artist Oliver Cowley were unveiled in June 1985.

They were the gift of members of the Philp family in memory of Mrs Jessie Henderson and Miss Helen Bannister (Ivy) Philp MBE, the two younger daughters of Sir Robert Philp who was honoured with the ‘Nathanael’ window at the back of the Church.

They were unveiled by Miss Jean Hardie who at 92 was the oldest member of the congregation in 1985.
