A place for quiet reflection, the Columbarium was initially provided for in 1967 by the Anderson family following the death of Philip Edward Anderson in the Winton Air Disaster of 1966. More information about the Winton Air Disaster can be found here.

Philip Anderson and his family were members of St Paul's Congregation.

The Columbarium was extended in 1996 and a modest garden including a specially selected seat and paving. This extension along with the erection of the flagpole and installation of the flagpole stonework was managed by the Restoration Trust and undertaken by JH Wagner.
